Our mission is to bring these remarkable fitness tools to the attention of a wide audience in the Cambridge area.
Cambridge Kettlebells was established by advanced personal trainer, Alan Middlebrook, to bring these remarkable fitness tools to the attention of a wide range of people in the Cambridge area. The level of training provided by Cambridge Kettlebells is second to none in terms of safety and expertise in teaching kettlebell exercises and routines. Alan has a background in many sports including rowing, rugby and cycling. He now spends a lot of time running marathons, with a personal best time of 2 hours 55 minutes.
Before becoming a personal trainer Alan worked as a project manager in the field of civil engineering. He knows how difficult it can be to balance a demanding job with keeping fit. However, he managed to find time to train for marathons and quickly realised how keeping fit also helped to keep him mentally sharp. Many problems were solved on a short run home from the office after a hard day's work, or on those long Sunday runs. Alan has since swapped project management for motivating others to improve their health and fitness. It is his belief that each and every one of us owes it to ourselves to keep our bodies in good working order. Keeping fit is more rewarding if you have a personal goal, and, whatever that goal may be, kettlebell training will help.
Will Prideaux-Brune joined the Cambridge Kettlebell team in 2012. Will is a fully qualified ski instructor, personal trainer and highly devoted kettlebeller. With a background in many sports, including rugby, rowing and martial arts, as well as skiing, he enthusiastically endorses the benefits of kettlebelling as a great tool for increasing fitness for all of these activities. Will has recently taught as a Ski professional in Canada, Austria, New Zealand and Switzerland, and has a wealth of experience in motivating people to push themselves beyond their own perceived limits. As a personal trainer he utilises all these skills to make his sessions not only challenging, but also fun and motivational. He strongly believes that life is out there and the only limits are the ones people place upon themselves.
