Testimonials for Alan and Will:

Jooles Tostevin - age 30

Will is a fantastic teacher and it was apparent right from the start that he really knows his stuff. I was completely new to kettlebells and was quite anxious about how well I'd get on with them. However, I felt immediately at ease thanks to Will's fun and professional execution of the exercises. No matter how many people in the class, Will manages to concentrate on your individual level of fitness and requirements. Despite the blisters and bruises I would highly recommend kettlebells with Will to anyone as a fantastic way to keep fit.

Rebecca Colman - age 27

Since starting Alan's kettlebell class a year ago I have seen a huge improvement in both my strength and fitness. I started kettlebell training using an 8kg kettlebell and I am now using a 14kg kettlebell. The classes are always really varied and enjoyable and Alan does a great job of keeping everyone motivated and making sure we have a challenging workout. I have seen better results after using kettlebells for a year than I have in the past five years of regular running, cycling and using the gym. The classes are always very rewarding and give a great workout every time. I would definitely recommend taking up kettlebells and joining one of Alan's classes as a great way to improve fitness and strength and achieve great results.

Sally-Ann Halls - age 44

I recently had a little taster of Kettlebells on a boot camp weekend, where using a 6kg Kettlebell for a pitiful number of exercises was a challenge. I'm astounded now after such a short time to be wielding a 10kg Kettlebell. I'm certainly feeling the benefit as each week the techniques become more familiar and I can put more effort into them. I enjoy it so much I've bought my own Kettlebell so I can train at home. I never realised I could get such a good workout without actually moving my feet! I'd been losing a bit of motivation with my regular running regime and hoped a new exercise routine would help. It has and more. My stamina is improving and as an added bonus I'm starting to tone up. Not quite a six pack but with a short intake of breath, it's definitely there!

John Rawle - age 53

I've been attending Alan's kettlebell sessions for about 18 months. Prior to signing up with Alan I hadn't really done any regular exercise (other than daily cycle rides to the railway station) for a number of years and needed to get organised with some regular structured exercise.

I knew nothing about kettlebells before joining but just happened to see one of Alan's flyers and thought 'looks interesting - I'll give it a go'. I'm really pleased I did! The lessons are always interesting, there are so many different ways of using the kettlebell so boredom is never a problem. Alan is a really supportive and encouraging coach and it's great to work in a class. The sessions have certainly helped develop my general fitness, core stability and strength.

Another real plus point is that it's so easy to actually do some work at home, all you need is half and hour and a kettlebell!

I'd definitely recommend Alan to anyone who is thinking about kettlebells, he's got me hooked on cannonballs with handles - even though I still can't cycle like Lance Armstrong!

Joanna & Kevin Harris - 33 - 47

We have both improved our overall level of fitness significantly in a short space of time with Will's personal and encouraging approach to the training. Each session is structured differently and it's never boring. Great workout for all ages and abilities.

Rachel Hewitt - age 31

"I want to say a heartfelt thank you for the inspirational training sessions over the last 18 months.  It's been a crazy and potentially very stressful year work wise, and our sessions - and the exercise routines generally - have really helped to keep me sane and focused; and I'm very grateful to you for that.  I've loved being introduced to kettlebells and will definitely keep it up in London."

Gavin Howlett-Foster - age 49

Kettlebells are now a part of my regular exercise programme, thanks to Will's excellent knowledge. I can now use flows that will exercise specific muscle groups or as part of an all-round exercise routine. Will gives very clear instructions and attention to detail and form.

Diana Devenish - age 52

I have been training with Alan for more than two years. Prior to working with Alan I was a regular exerciser with a good level of fitness but I was stuck in the rut of doing the same routines week in week out. Alan took care to understand what I wanted to get from our sessions, devised an appropriate evolving varied programme taking full account of any injuries etc and worked with me to take my fitness to the next level.

About 18 months ago he introduced me to kettlebell training. We have steadily worked over this time to further improve my cardiac fitness, core stability and strength. The training has been very effective, the routines have developed and evolved during this time avoiding boredom and continually improving my fitness. The exercise is both enjoyable and rewarding! Alan is a great coach who inspires you by personal example to do your best and go the extra mile! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both Alan and the training method.

Gareth Pritchard - age 18 (golf handicap 4)

After 5-6 weeks starting the kettlebell training I found my golf game to significantly improve. I found I had greater balance, strength and timing of my golf swing. These were brought about through the use of the kettlebell and the way it was applied by Alan.

I also noticed significant aerobic gains from the training from the 3rd week onwards. It became easier to do other activities, and was especially noticeable when playing football. I'm looking forward to seeing how a continued training programme will improve both my golf game and aerobic fitness.

Katharine Streatfield - age 25

I started kettlebell training with Alan because I'm an athlete and have suffered injuries in the past.  I was looking to improve my conditioning and strength, but also wanted to work my cardiovascular system. I have done free weights and medicine ball training in the past but wanted to try something new.

The key thing for me about the sessions with Alan is that I really enjoy them and so I don't realise how hard I've worked until afterwards.  After years of training on my own it is useful and motivating to have someone point out improvements and I definitely get more out of the sessions with Alan as a result.  I have already noticed improvements in my core strength and in particular my posture and look forward to seeing further benefits as I practise more.
